Strawberry Croissants


Strawberry croissant ingredients

  1. Puff pastry (yeast-free or yeast) 250 grams

Cooking croissants with strawberries:

Step 1: Prepare the Strawberries.


Sort strawberries, removing twigs and leaves adhering to it. Fold the berries in a colander and rinse thoroughly with warm running water several times. Wait until excess fluid drains from them. Arrange the washed strawberries on a cutting board and cut off each green tail. If the berries are large, then you can also cut them into pieces, while small strawberries are best left whole.

Step 2: We make croissants with strawberries.


Defrost puff pastry according to package directions. Usually you just need to leave it at room temperature for a while.
Roll the prepared dough into a thin layer, and then cut into small triangles. Fold strawberries on the base of each triangle of dough, sprinkle it with sugar, and then wrap to make a croissant.
Attention: if you are cooking from yeast puff pastry, then after this step give your croissants a break 20 minutes, and so that they do not spin, cover them with a kitchen towel or cling film.

Step 3: Bake croissants with strawberries.


Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Put croissants with strawberries on a baking sheet covered with baking paper, cover them with whipped yolk on top and send them to bake on 15-20 minutes or until they catch a pretty blush.
Take the finished baking out of the oven and cool a bit so that there is no burning, and then serve your croissants with strawberries to the table.

Ready croissants with strawberries are good both for brunch and as a dessert or a sweet afternoon snack.
