Cooking baked pangasius under vegetables:

Step 1: prepare the pangasius fillet.


Usually, the pangasius fillet is sold in the fish department in a frozen form, so we defrost it by putting it in the middle bowl in advance and setting it aside so that the fish itself can reach room temperature. Attention: In no case do not defrost the pangasius under running hot water or in the microwave, as this can ruin the taste of the dish itself.

Step 2: prepare the carrots.


Using a knife, peel the carrots and rinse thoroughly under running water. We spread the vegetable on a cutting board and grind it using a coarse grater. Pour the carrot chips into a free plate.

Step 3: prepare hard cheese.


We grate hard cheese on a coarse grater directly into a clean plate and leave it aside for a while.

Step 4: prepare the tomatoes.


We wash the tomatoes under running water and put it on a cutting board. With our hands we remove the tails and after we cut the component into circles. We shift the chopped tomatoes into a clean plate.

Step 5: prepare the baked pangasius under the vegetables.


In the baking dish, put the grated carrots in the first layer. After that, grease the component with mayonnaise (leveling it on all sides with a tablespoon) and sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste. Now put the fillet of pangasius. Attention: if the fish is larger in size than the container itself, then you can cut it into large pieces and put it in a shape denser. Lubricate the fish layer with mayonnaise too, and also do not forget to salt and pepper. We put tomato circles on the penultimate layer, apply mayonnaise on them and at the end sprinkle all with grated cheese.

Put the mold in the oven for 30-40 minutes at a temperature 180 - 200 ° C until a golden brown crust forms on the surface of the dish. Immediately after that, turn off the oven, and take out the container with the help of kitchen gloves.

Step 6: serve the baked pangasius under the vegetables.


We transfer the baked pangasius under vegetables with a wooden spatula to a special dish and can serve it to the dining table. This fish can be savored with mashed potatoes, fresh vegetable salad or boiled rice. Delicate, juicy pangasius just melts in your mouth.

- for cooking pangasius, you can take larger tomatoes, as they are usually acidic, which gives the dish a piquant aroma and taste;
